Oh my yes please do a sign substacky thing, preferably the 5th or 6th of december as I will be over from the Netherlands these two nights hahaha. Well, of course I know that is a long long LONG shot... what wasn't though, was this recipe. I made some weird spinoff with carrots and fresh corn from the cob which I had both in my fridge. I put it on a homemade humus spread, topped it with the butter, sesame and lime. And then some tahini. Did not have any kind of yoghurt in the house so I guess it aint very similar but ooohh well, it was delicious. Thanks for the inspo.

Btw, I feel your pain on the yoghurt front. I didn't know about The Collective Yoghurt, but here in NL I do like Oatley oatgurt. Although the major supermarket just took it out of their assortment #cry

Lastly, pre-ordered and am reading you guys' antology! Very lovely so far, love the free 'travel'' (in time and space) I am allowed because of it.

Should you wish to bring your tour to the Lake District again, that would be very very nice (but failing that, I'll try and make it to a Manchester date if there is one!)

This is a delicious recipe but I will say if you are making it while watching telly and having a chat and trying to remember things and generally not paying much attention it’s very easy to mistake .5 tsp of citric acid and salt for 5 tsp of citric acid and salt. Which is slightly less delicious 🥴 also keen for an Oxford stop!

Oooh nail polish, candles, darkness... three of my favourite things. Looking forward to that one. And why did I never think of cooking multiple meals at once when the oven’s on?! Genius. Speaking of nail polish I’m currently OBSESSED with Cirque Colors jelly polishes, specifically in the shades Marsala and Rosewater. I think you would love both.

That sounds gorgeous, and frankly I’d eat a whole bowl of broccoli alone cooked that way! Glad to hear the book tour might encompass Bath/Bristol as the new book is far too big to fit in my suitcase for Wales and all your others are still in moving boxes!

Lovely recipe! and thank you, thank you, thank you for the amazing tip for coconut yogurt and citric acid. I'm so sad to give up dairy, but this helps so much!

Wired Up All Weird (some would in fact say Beautifully) is so, so much better than the DSM. Thank you for encouraging me that maybe I could have a stab at being an artist after too, too long working in the mental health world trying to make it change because I thought it wanted to listen to those who are Wired Beautifully. You are wonderful, sweet potatoes are wonderful. Thank you. I hope I can masterclass some day xxxx

As well as Manchester, definitely up for a London signing of old books with Substackers, widows, foodies and kind people 💕

Do you use regular sesame oil or toasted sesame oil? Thanks.

I think toasted gives the best results but Rich has made it with both sunflower and olive oil and honestly it was only a little different! Use what you have, I think?

I don’t suppose there is any chance of coming to south essex? I know its a deeply unpopular destination as Essex is the cultural desert of the universe but my bookclub would welcome you with open arms and prove that although its the place in the country with the lowest spent per capita on culture - there are some of us here that are trying to fly the flag........and who would love to see you both. Tea and cake definitely included
