Hello, kittens, how are we?
I am writing this in my new favourite cafe, a Colombian place that serves coffee they grow themselves in Colombia, and where every single person seems to know everybody and also be having the best time.
Are you having the best time? I hope so.
I bailed on a party this weekend in order to have the best time drinking coffee and writing and sleeping in my own bed and doing laundry.
The woman at the table next to me is talking to her friend about her daughter’s school: about how they have started having lessons in finding out what makes a good friend. I think this is probably the nicest lesson you could possibly learn at school, no? What makes a good friend; plus what a mortgage is and how to iron a shirt and bake a cake and change a fuse. And we should also give all the children an enormous book of poems and an hour a day to read them because eventually they will be so bored they will find one they love.
