i've got decision fatigue and i haven't even made a decision yet!!!!
Hello, beloved friends!
It's June, it's raining, and we still haven't made a single one of the big decisions we were supposed to make in January. You can probably intuit all of the big decisions for yourself if you have ever been, for example, in your thirties or known anyone in their thirties or have read a single book or seen a single film about people in their thirties. What is amazing is to be so entirely unoriginal in my decision fatigue and despair that there is nothing new to be said on these subjects. And yet all I do is say about these subjects! I speak on one subject and one subject only.
Six months slip away like nothing. We are three months into living in limbo in London, and I would describe myself, conservatively, as "verging on the bonkers". I have one main topic of conversation-- where shall we live? where shall we live? where shall we live? where shall we live?-- said in increasingly desperate and rising tones. How does anyone decide where to live? This is the big decision on which all other things hinge.
